Accommodations:
We have two different sleeping facilities: The Lodge Dorm and The Fort Cabins
If your group is less than 45 campers, you will book ONE facility.
For over 45 campers, you reserve BOTH facilities & split your group in half.Lodge Dorms – 3 rooms with 10 beds, 2 rooms with 8 beds = 46 twin bunks (restrooms in the hall).Fort Cabins – 6 cabins with 8 beds, 1 cabin with 6 beds = 54 camp bunks (bathhouse outside, showers in gym).
Everyone must bring their own twin size linens or sleeping bag & pillow for both facilities.
Please refer to floor plans on website, pre-assign rooms, & condense campers to least number of rooms possible.
Each dorm/cabin is to have same gender campers with at least one responsible adult leader to supervise.
With your reservation comes the use of a meeting room, campfire, game room, & indoor/outdoor sporting facilities (gym, walleyball, athletic field, volleyball, hiking).
In the event that we have 2 small groups on the same date, each group will have their own sleeping facility & meeting room spaces. Meal times & activities will be staggered accordingly.Head Count:
When booking a retreat, initially give a rough idea of how many attendees you estimate coming.
We need an updated & definite head count at least 2 weeks before your retreat date. After that, you are responsible to pay for the number of campers registered. You may add more campers to your facility, but please call ahead to make sure there is availability.Meeting Rooms:
Fireside Room
Able to seat up to 100 people with room in the back. Can be set up to your specifications. We provide Digital sound board, projector with HDMI hook up, screen, drum set, microphones, music stands and cables to connect to our sound system. You provide instruments, amplifiers (if desired) computer (HDMI out put or VGA if out putting sound as well) and the musicians. We will show you how to run the sound board and stay with you until you are comfortable. You can have the worship team show up early for set up and sound check.
You will be asked to inform us ahead of time of how you would like the room and sound equipment set up.
Barn Meeting Room
Able to seat up 60 people with a board room and snack kitchen in the back. We provide a small stage with a small analog sound board, VGA projector (projects onto the wall), a fee micro phones, a few music stands. You provide instruments, amplifiers (if desired), computer (VGA out put), and the musicians. We will show you how to run the equipment and make sure you are comfortable. You can have the worship team show up early for set up and sound check
You will be asked to inform us ahead of time of how you would like the room and sound equipment set up.
Adventure Course:
Half day program (3-4 hours), includes your choice of activities, run by our trained staff. Additional $19 per person.
Outdoor: low ropes course, rock climbing, zipline, giant swingl, archery
Indoor: high ropes course, rock climbing, giants ladder, centipede climbAlthough it is a ‘challenge by choice’ atmosphere, we strongly encourage all members of the group to participate, as it is a team building & memorable experience.
Sneakers/closed toe shoes are required for all Adventure Course activities.Meals / Foodservice:
1 night retreat package – typically 2 meals on second day
2 night retreat package – typically 3 meals second day, 1 third day, 5th meal is choice of dinner upon arrival day 1, or lunch before departure day 3Additional meals may be added to your package for $10 per person per meal.
Typically, breakfasts are between 8 & 9, lunches are between 12 & 1, dinners are between 5 & 6. Please indicate desired meal times on your detailed weekend schedule & submit prior to arrival so our kitchen staff can plan accordingly.
Meals are buffet-style, staff will serve campers a reasonable portion of food the first time through, they may return for seconds after everyone has gone through. Please eat what you take & help clean up after yourselves when finished.
Groups may bring snacks, however all food must be eaten in the dining hall.
There is a snack/beverage vending machine in the gym building – don’t forget your quarters!
Special Needs / Food Allergies:
If a camper has a specific physical need or food allergy that we need to be aware of, please let us know ahead of time, and we will do our best to accommodate & serve where possible.
Emergency Contact / Release Forms:
We need to have a release form on file for every camper on our property. You can find our form right here (Emergency Release form).Please download our form & have parents of attendees under 18 sign & return to the group leader, compile, & submit to our office upon arrival to camp.
For attendees over 18: we also recommend that these campers have at least an emergency contact sheet with a phone number of someone to contact in the event of an emergency.
Online Registration
Please note once you submit your request to register for a retreat one of our staff will call to confirm the details. You will then be sent an online invoice. Please note that we do accept online payments their is a 3% charge. If you would like to avoid that charge you can mail a check to 753 Burnt Meadow Rd Hewitt NJ 07421 (Make checks out to Camp Shiloh).
